I have been told so many times that I must visit Crater Lake that it was finally time to turn east and see what the fuss was all about. Not surprisingly it looks just like the brochures, in a word, captivating.

Sadly the west is plagued at the moment with forest fires and air is not as nice as it might be, however the haze made for some interesting sunrise photos.
