I would like to solicit your opinion. This is a reworked version of the scene I posted recently. What do you think? Is it “over the top” or simply “rather neat”? Obviously I did a lot of processing in Photoshop and generally I don’t like to do that but my opinion is that in this case it works as a dramatic landscape.
This is a possible image in my book “The Lincoln Highway in Basin and Range” due out next year.

I like the picture because it has a dream-like quality that pulls you into the landscape toward the mountains.
I personally love the contrast between the simplicity stark desert landscape and the soft blue mountain skyline. Love it. Composed beautifully. I also want to reserve a copy in advance, please. š
Thank you for nice comments.
Killer photo. Yes, it’s over the top. Yes, I don’t like to do that either. Yes. it works.,
I like it. It pushes a wee bit past the realistic but not much. Beautiful work of art and impressionistic view of the Great Basin. Not all photographic works must be works of realism. Keep expressing yourself the way you want to. š
That’s why I ducked incoming for a year in ‘that crazy Asian war’. Beautiful. Let’s hope we can keep this kind of beauty for our grandkids kids, and theirs.
Hi Grover,
